Matt & Janel…

This is Matt and Janel. Janel is my boss at Royals and wanted some pregnancy pictures. I thought it might be a little awkward to photograph by boss but it turned out to be a lot of fun. I dragged her around everywhere and she was just always willing to do anything. Her and her husband are fun to be around and their new daughter Gracin is one lucky girl.
So here is Matt and Janel….
This was the last photo assignment of my college career. It’s a little depressing I must say but I had a lot of fun. I have shot this girl before and it’s so easy to photograph pretty girls. Every picture turned out amazing and it was hard to decide which ones to use. It’s was pretty chilly but she was a good sport and she totally rocked it.

The last two assignments were up to us. I had yet to take pictures of a guy so that is what I decided to do. Getting a boy to do a photo shoot isn’t the easiest thing but I knew there was someone I could count on…..my boyfriend…..who honestly wasn’t all that thrilled and I don’t blame him. It was pretty cold outside. We went to downtown Lee’s Summit to take some pictures and stop at the Mizzou store of course. This was by far that quickest photo shoot I had ever done. Thanks letting me drag you around

I’ve known Jenna for a few years now and I just love her to death. Her boyfriend Brooks is awesome and was a really good sport while I was dragging them all around town. This couple were great. They were down for anything including walking through a field and getting covered in stickers…..well I got covered in stickers
I have so many favorites so this will be a big post. Thanks guys for putting up with me! And again a shout out to Emily for coming along and helping!

I had a lot of fun shooting this session. We didn’t have a lot of time to work with because the sun was going to start setting any minute. Emily rocked it out and we were running around all over town taking pictures. We used my car as a dressing room and Emily was down for whatever I threw at her. I also want to thank my reflector holder, Emily, she did wonderful and I think actually enjoyed it

I loved portrait! I haven’t had too much experience with photography before and I thought portrait might be fun. It was. The final 2 projects were my favorite. High Key is fun and there are tons of things you can do with it and any chance I have to get out of the studio I get I’m really excited. I think there is a progression of work in my portfolio. For me, it gets better at the end. I got a better feeling for working with people and posing and I think that is apparent though the portfolio. I really liked this class and had a lot of fun at each shoot! So here is my portflio……enjoy…..

My theme for my portfolio is motion. This means either things in motion or the camera was in motion. It was hard to pick a theme for the whole semester but I ended up liking what I came up with. I also really enjoyed shooting downtown. There are a lot of fun memories with some of these pictures and others are just fun to look at. I really enjoyed this class and felt like I pushed myself to do things I wouldn’t normally do. I like to be creative and do things differently and I hope that shows through in my portfolio. So here it is…enjoy……
